About the CFMS
The CFMS is an organization representing over 8,000 medical students from 15 Canadian medical student societies from coast to coast. We represent medical students to the public, to the federal government, and to national and international medical organizations.The CFMS Canadian Blood Services team is excited to announce the launch of our annual Phlebotomy bowl! The aim of this initiative is to encourage medical students to donate blood and emphasize the importance of blood donation throughout medical school and into practice.
🩸How do I donate to the Phlebotomy bowl?
In order to register to donate and contribute to your school’s phlebotomy entries, you will need to use your school’s Partner ID, which can be accessed here. Keep an eye out for group donation bookings through your institution or talk to your local school champions for more information. The Holidays are a great time to donate! J
🏆2022-2023 Phlebotomy Bowl Winners
The past Phlebotomy Bowl was a huge success with Dalhousie University - Nova Scotia taking first place with most new donors per capita and NOSM University taking first place with most donors per capita. Congratulations to the NOSM and Dalhousie students as well as last year’s team for a successful Phlebotomy bowl!
📦Campaign in a Box
We are excited to announce the launch of a new initiative this year: Campaign in a Box! Campaign in a box is a way for individuals to donate stem cells. Each school will be given one box which contains swab kits to be distributed for eligible and interested individuals to sign up to be stem cell donors!
