About the CFMS
The CFMS is an organization representing over 8,000 medical students from 15 Canadian medical student societies from coast to coast. We represent medical students to the public, to the federal government, and to national and international medical organizations.Dear members,
The CFMS would like to announce the resignation of our Director of Education, Neha Malhotra. In her time on the board, Neha demonstrated herself to be a kind and deeply reflective individual with a heart for equity, and we would like to extend our best wishes to her as she takes the time that she needs. Our board sincerely appreciates the work Neha has done to lay the foundation for equity, diversity and inclusion work in the Education Portfolio, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in any capacity in the future.
At this time, we also wanted to express our gratitude for the team of Regional Directors who have been supporting the Education Portfolio the last few months, as we know that Neha is appreciative of the support she has received in all of the transitions. We recognize that the Education Portfolio is vitally important to our student advocacy work, and we are ever grateful to have these board members available to support continued success in the Education Portfolio and the continued onboarding of our new National Officers of Education. In the immediate future, we will be working with the National Officers to determine the best steps forward.
Fall Recruitment for the Education Portfolio will continue under the guidance of the Regional Directors who have been supporting the work of the portfolio and the National Officers.
